Meet the Business Team
Our commitment to your care usually begins and ends with our business team. They keep our office running smoothly. From scheduling and treatment plans to payment options and phone calls, the business team ensures that you receive the best care in an efficient and comfortable manner.
Michelle completed the dental assisting program at South Puget Sound Community College and, in 1994, began her career at Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry. After ten years as a dental assistant, she transitioned to the front office. Michelle has always had a special gift in connecting with our patients and quickly adapted those skills to working with patients in scheduling their appointments, in making financial arrangements, and in helping them maximize their insurance benefits.
Michelle has taken full advantage of continuing education opportunities and learning from her co-workers. She has developed a broad expertise in all areas of dental office administration. In 2011, Michelle was promoted to office administrator.
In addition to her regular duties, Michelle has taken on a high level of supervision over major advances in the office, including: 1) the transition to electronic health records; 2) a remodel of the office in 2013; and most recently, 3) the transition to Dentrix, our new dental management software.
Michelle describes herself as a “huge”; Mariners fan and enjoys spending time with her family, particularly outdoors.
Magen graduated from the dental assisting program at South Puget Sound Community College and began her career working as an orthodontic assistant. In 2010, she joined the front office team at Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry.
Magen’s primary focus is on scheduling and on facilitating patient appointments with our dentists. She takes great pride in making sure that our patients receive the help they need and that they always have a positive experience whether calling our office, coming in for an appointment, filling out patient forms, needing a prescription, being referred to a specialist, or making financial arrangements.
Magen enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends.
Kathy has worked in dental office administration since 2000. Prior to joining Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry, she worked for over ten years in a pediatric practice. In our office, her primary focus is scheduling and facilitating appointments for our hygiene team. Kathy, however, closely collaborates with all of our front office team members so as to best serve our patients. She is very people-oriented, and one of the favorite aspects of her position is greeting our patients when they arrive and getting to know them and their families.
Kathy enjoys spending her time off with her family and most especially with her young grandson. They like to play volleyball and go on walks in the outdoors. She also enjoys singing and songwriting.
Carol joined the front office team at Cooper Moss Advanced Dentistry in 2011. She manages the business accounting, human resource, marketing, and community outreach functions of the office. Carol sees her primary role as managing the business affairs of the practice so that the dentists and other staff can remain focused on providing the highest level of care for our patients.
Carol is active in her church community and serves on the board of directors of Pope John Paul II High School. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and working in the yard. She and her husband have four grown children and enjoy getting together with them whenever they can.
Susan is a graduate of the Dental Administration Specialist program at Clover Park Technical College. She has substantial experience in all areas of patient-centered administration.
Susan is the most recent addition to our front office team and is focusing on insurance claims processing. Like all of our team members, however, Susan’s highest priority is being available to assist our patients and on ensuring that we exceed their expectations.
Susan and her family are long-time residents of Thurston County, and she considers herself fortunate to have four generations of her family living nearby.
